R2 Logistics, Inc., a Third-Party Logistics service provider, today named Old Dominion Freight Line as its 2017 LTL Carrier of the Year for providing superior LTL freight management for R2 Logistics and its customers.
Old Dominion Freight Line was founded in 1934 and operated with a single truck running between Richmond, Virginia and Norfolk, Virginia. Today the company is headquartered in Thomasville, North Carolina, and operates from 227 Service Centers nationwide with more than eight thousand tractors and over 32 thousand trailers.

The LTL Carrier of the Year Award was presented to Old Dominion by R2 Logistics’ Vice President of LTL Solutions, Jon Adams, and LTL Procurement Manager, Chris Schaurer at the SMC3 Jumpstart conference in Atlanta, Georgia. Receiving the award was Old Dominion Vice President of Pricing, Todd Polen, and Cecil Thompson, Senior Manager of Strategic Accounts.
