R2 Logistics, Inc., a Third Party Logistics service provider, today announced it has opened an operating branch in Houston, Texas at 1001 Texas Avenue, Houston, Texas. The Houston office marks the tenth cold-start operations office for the company, and it’s third in 2015.
Dan Knopf, formerly a National Sales Rep for R2 Logistics, was promoted to the Branch Manager of the Houston operations. His Assistant Manager, Dylan Foody, was promoted from his position in Transportation Sales at R2 Logistics’ Denver branch.
“We are very excited about opening our tenth operations office in Houston, Texas,” said R2 Logistics Founder and CEO, Ben Gase. “We continue to execute our long term growth plan of opening offices around the United States. I am also proud that we once again promoted from within as we have in all 10 branches we opened over the last 8 years. We are looking forward to competing in Houston in the years to come.”
Forbes Magazine recently ranked Houston, Texas as number one for its list of “America’s Fastest-Growing Cities in 2015.” The publication noted, “Given that Texas’ oil output has more than doubled in the past three years, it’s not surprising that Houston, the center of the energy boom, tops this year’s list of America’s Fastest-Growing Cities. The metro area is expected to add 63,000 jobs in 2015, according to the Greater Houston Partnership. Since 2009 the area has welcomed some 1,500 corporate relocations or expansions—and that’s just counting those that created 50 or more jobs, leased 20,000 or more square feet of office space, or invested $1 million or more in capital improvements.”
Applications are currently being accepted to fill Transportation Sales positions.
